In between festivities our classmates did a variety of pastimes
There was an art show at the Darriage Inn  motel and several of our friends got together there.  Al Simmons, Mike Pierce, Joy Allen, Cheryl Bernhardi and Darlene Mulliner pose for a group photo at the event.
Some of our classmates are seen here "Mooning" the 1956 tile on the sidewalk at the High School.  Apparently, our older set don't do the moons of yore.  I guess you would call this a pseudo Moon.
Some of the ladies get together at Cheryl and Bruce Bernhardi's for a little coffee klatch.  Above we see Alene Reeves, Joan McKernan, Opal Goode, Joy Allen, Darlene Mulliner and Cheryl her ownself.
Alene Reeves, Opal Goode and Darline Mulliner.  Opal is a real trooper for a soon to be 100 year old.  I think I got a lot tireder at some of these events then she did.
My son Anthony and I visited Don Joe & Joan McKernan one afternoon.  We were amazed at the collection of western memorabilia they had accumulated in their home. Only a fraction of their collection is shown here.   It was a virtual museum of things western and desert western.
Don Joe McKernan and his grandson.  in the inset Joan McKernan tries to hide behind her pencil.
Old horse drawn wagons, windmill replicas and a collection of old tractors to make John Deere blush!!!  The McKernan's board horses here and they have several corrals and barns for the purpose on their property.  As long as I have known Don Joe he has had a real interest in horses and things horse.  It certainly shows in his home and its surroundings.
Anthony and I drove up on the hill overlooking the valley towards Trona.  We shot several pictures in an effort to get a new banner for High Desert Memories.  What you see above is the final that I will use for the next year or two.
