While I was in High School I spent a lot of weekends up in the High Sierra
Lake areas. The scenery is beautiful, the panorama's grand, and the fishin'
was just awesome!!! One time while I was on a camping trip with the Boy Scouts we were camped on the
stream that feeds Silver Lake. The game department came in with one of their
trucks and stocked the stream . There were a lot of the fish that were
still stunned when the stock truck left so we waded out and gleaned these fish
by just picking them up out of the water. We had a LOT of fish!!!
We sure ate good that night!!!
Seeing the sun come up in the moring highlighting those mountains was indeed a beautiful
and memorable sight. |
