Kramer Junction |

Kramer Junction so named because it was the junction of several railroad spurs
in the early 1900's. It has since become the junction of two Highways
395 and 58 which branch to other major highway arterials. From here
you can proceed to San Bertnardino to the south, Ridgecrest and the Eastern
Sierra to the north, Barstow to the east and Palmdale and Lancaster to the west.
It is also the site of a large solar generating site. Long
a landmark for travelers to and from big city to the Sierra playgrounds. |

Recognize this area?? It is on highway 395 approaching Atolia and Red Mountain.
|

This is the stretch of road right outside of Johannesburg heading north toward Inyokern
and Ridgecrest |

Solar power generation is really all about mirrors but no smoke |

. . . . well maybe a little smoke but it certainly must be lucrative
look at the size of this place!!! |
